The wildest adventure film festival of the year is coming to the region in September.
The Roanoke Outside Foundation is hosting the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour at the Jefferson Center on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
The Banff Mountain Film Festival has been providing outdoors enthusiasts from around the world with mountain culture for over 40 years. The films shown as part of the traveling world tour are inspiring, adventurous, and thought-provoking, created for like-minded audiences in cities, mountain towns (like Roanoke), and villages in over 40 countries.
The event kicks off a 5 p.m. with the Get Outside Expo in Fitzpatrick Hall, where you can learn more about all kinds of outdoor groups and opportunities locally, and will be followed by the films at 7 p.m. Films are fun for adults and kids to watch.
A $5 donation at the door gets you into the film festival. We hope to see you there.
