Best Tasting Water in Virginia Comes from Roanoke Region
Best tasting water … and plenty of it.
Some of the Roanoke Region’s water was judged the best tasting tap water in Virginia by the Virginia American Water Works Association. “We’re not surprised, but we’re very pleased,” said Sarah Bumgardner, spokesperson for the Western Virginia Water Authority. The region’s location at the headwaters of the Roanoke River watershed makes its water particularly pure.
The quality of the water is matched by the volume available to businesses. The region has long been known for its available water capacity as well as quality. Companies such as Coca-Cola Bottling and Ballast Point Brewing are examples of the kind of large volume local users who rely on the quality of water as critical to the quality of their products.
