GO Fest Sets Attendance Record

When the Roanoke Regional Partnership, Roanoke Outside and Roanoke Parks and Recreation founded the Anthem GO Outside Festival seven years ago, the aim was to build a festival that would leverage our outdoor reputation to attract business and investment.

We were on to something.

This year’s festival was the biggest to date with attendance up 20 percent and more than 36,000 people on site.

National manufacturers from Keen to The North Face were a few of the 100+ vendors on hand for the three-day event in mid-October, many sending company representatives to the region for the first time. This provides an opportunity for even more people to see what the region has to offer, and GO Fest helps outdoor businesses get in front of new customers.

Admission to GO Fest is free thanks to plenty of generous sponsors, making it an accessible weekend of fun for everyone.
