We Care About ‘Best Of’ Lists, and You Should Too

It’s important to vote as often as you can, and we’re not talking politics.

The Roanoke Regional Partnership encourages participation in contests that help the Roanoke Region earn recognition as a great place. This includes everything from voting for Roanoke in the Blue Ridge Outdoors Top Towns contest to nominating local favorites in the CraftBeer.com Great American Beer Bar poll. (Both contests are happening right now by the way.)

We’ll help you know when these contests are happening and how to vote through our websites and social media channels.

And while you might think it’s “just another contest,” earning recognition is a good thing. Being featured as Best Trail Town, Best Mountain Town, or for the best place to grab a burger makes businesses and tourists take notice. It puts individual locations and the region as a whole on the map, so to speak.

The Roanoke Region won some of these honors in the past and there are a lot more contests to win. It’s worth the continued effort (which is usually pretty minimal on your part). So thanks for voting and keep up the good work.
