The Roanoke Region is the center of a larger area encompassing 25 institutions of higher education. From liberal arts colleges to prestigious research institutions, the Roanoke Region has more than 100,000 undergraduate and graduate students pursuing higher education to launch their careers. That’s a higher concentration of undergraduates per capita than in Boston, San Francisco, North Carolina’s Research Triangle, and Austin.
