How is the Roanoke Region important to your business?

Whiting-Turner has been managing construction projects along the I-81 corridor and surrounding areas for 20+ years. When the time was right for us to establish a local operation, we quickly settled on Roanoke for our regional office. It offers a wealth of resources and opportunities and is centrally located to the areas we serve. The majority of our team has roots in the area and graduated from local universities. Establishing our Roanoke office allowed several to relocate back to the area and our team has also been recruiting talented local individuals. We’ve enjoyed our time so far building relationships with local clients, design professionals, and trade partners. Our team is local to the area and have a purposeful intent to integrate ourselves into the community.

Why has your company invested in the Roanoke Regional Partnership?

We are invested in the local community and economy. We believe it is critical for the well-being of both to connect people together in a mutually beneficial way. The Roanoke Regional Partnership provides a great opportunity for these connections. Their team is truly invested in this effort and developing the local economy. This quickly became apparent to us when researching our investment.
