2018: 3 New Events
New events were introduced in 2018 by the Roanoke Regional Partnership’s talent attraction and retention initiative.
Experience Leadership is a three-time-a-year professional development program to provide networking and education to young professionals. Retaining young professionals in the region is critical as demographic shifts continue to impact our workforce.
Experience Outside brings together young professionals in warm weather to enjoy the region’s outdoor assets. Stand-up paddle boarding, bikes on the greenways, and disc golf are just a few of the activities that help young professionals build their social network. The GoFest Meet Up introduced YPs to this awesome event and strengthened their social network.
Launched in 2018, the Partnership has a comprehensive talent attraction and retention program that is building a pipeline between college students and regional business, supporting summer internship programs, creating networking and professional events, and selling the Roanoke region to talent that will fuel business growth.
